You'll gradually learn when to drop です
This is from Twitter profile from Haristarchan.
You can drop です, but if you do it too much, it will lose politeness. If you don't lose it at all, your speech will sound awkward with so many "desu".
Don't worry too much about the right way to drop です. You'll learn the balance and when to and when not to as you get used to Japanese speech more.
はじめまして。私の名前ははるかです。みんな元気ですか?It's perfect Japanese! It's much better than writing like this,私は歌と踊りが大好き。14歳中学3年生です。 私の誕生日は7月20日です。(。^ω^。 ) 私はハロープロジェクトが大好き!(^∇^)-♪友達になろう! (´・ω・` *)〓

Someone asked a question
How can I garner Japanese fans without using niconama live?
(1) If you are a dancer, let's find some memes and dance to them?
NyanCat
How to catch memes:
This is the general ranking for NND videos. You can go to various categories from here.
Music and Entertainment category
Odottemita category.
It's too late when a meme becomes an independent entry on KnowYourMeme.com.
(2) Find social phenomena and dance to them.
This isn't a meme, but I guess it was an extremely popular club music.
If you look out for Oricon Charts (オリコンチャート) you'll easily catch what music are popular in Japan now. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is all the rage now, so let's dance to her music.
AKB48
AKB48 is a social phenomenon in Japan. If you dance to it, you can count on viewcounts. Let's take precautions against copyright violation. They are tougher than H!P.
(3) Learn Japanese
Learn Japanese and be fluent enough to make conversation without difficulty. Then,
(4) actively participate in chats with JP speaking people on Twitter. For that, you should
(5) follow a lot of people who speak Japanese. For that, try to find your potential fans and follow them. Find the same kind of persons as you are. Check out for their followers and the ones they are following. "Relevancy" is the key.
If you know how to use a bot/ or make a Twitter bot/ you could follow someone automatically. That's for advanced people. If you don't follow relevant people, it doesn't serve your purpose well.
(6) Make vlogs constantly, in which you speak to Japanese people in Japanese. That makes a huge difference.
My evaluation of Nina Seron skyrocketed because of this video:
It moved me to almost tears. It's not only her Japanese skills but also her emotions she put into her speech, and her facial expression that didn't look fake at all.
She even sent it to UPFRONT. You need this activeness when you want to become famous in Japan.
If I were Nina, I'd find the most appropriate and popular video regarding Tanaka Reina, and send her video as "Video Response".
Haristarchan made a dance video with a little speech in Japanese.
It's important! If you have a person you respect/ you got a lot of influence from, and announces she's retiring, let's make a vlog addressing to her. It's more important than making a cheap "Happy birthday" video.
This is Nina's vlog sending Happy Birthday to Reina Tanaka.
It was picked up by a user on 2ch category dedicated to H!P, and given a thread for this video. Isn't that why she has lots of JP fans?
(7) Thumbnail pictures are crucial!
This can't be stressed enough.

If you care about your subs, why don't you take a little of bit of your time longer for your editting, and try to get a better thumbnail?
As of now, it's completely random which 3 thumbnail pics Youtube will choose for your video, unless you are partnered
(If you are, you can attach a pic for your video).
Let's make 3 videos. One video, as you'll usually make. Second, crop a milliseconds from the first video. Third, crop another milliseconds from the second.
Then upload the first video. If you didn't get a nice thumbnail, upload the second.
(8) Write your profiles in Japanese
It's important! Nina has her profiles in Japanese, like this.
Konnichipa!

Haristarchan removed her Japanese text from her profile. Why? She's going to lose her potential fans who speak Japanese.

She should say 私は歌と踊り. This is the second time I mentioned it to her. I think I sent a correction to her Twitter. I hope she won't ignore my advice this time.

The two men in the center are comedians. Basically they make laugh out of the videos sent to them. Not everything, as you can see they admired the singing by Melissa, a Brazilian girl.
6:15- They are using a copyright song. That's OK, a program by FujiTV runs the song during the show.
Why don't you find a song by FujiTV and choreograph it and dance to it?
11:32- She's cute and funny. She posted this so that she could become a comedian exclusive to FujiTV.
Around 13:00 Their action is cool! Why are they laughing? Because their Japanese is awkward and funny. The gap (coolness and awkward Japanese) makes it funny to them.
Around 14:00 Melissa in Brazil. She's Nikkei 4th generation. I bet they chose her video, not only because she's great at singing, but also "she longs for Japan".
15:57- HJ freaks is a well-known among Nicochus (ニコ厨, Nico Nico fans). He's a Korean basist. He's not well known enough on national level.
The next part will be aired May 7, midnight (JST). I'm hoping they'll choose Haristarchan this time.

Look at the red part. Dionysus is a god in Greek mythology, which refers to the same god as Bacchus (which is in Latin).
As a matter of fact, I had mildly criticized her for her sensitivity to the comments made to her dance videos. I had seen several benevolent comments which criticized her videos.
One said "her eyebrows are thick". Another said "her dance is too dynamic."
There were more such comments which we can't see, because Haristarchan deleted them all.
Hari often tweeted (which she deleted soon!) that she feels depressed to see haters' comments.
So I went checking for the comments. I found nothing hateful or malicious about the comments Haristar must have seen as hateful comments.
If she's like that, she won't be able to become an aidoru, let alone any type of Geinoujin (芸能人).
She considered all of my advice as 悪口 (insults) and never as advice.
I took it my responsibility to "educate" the people on my "list", because I am going to send proposals to relevant entertainment related companies to hire these persons.
I need to recommend my "recommended goods" with confidence.
I wrote several pieces of advice regarding Haristarchan on my Niconicoworld Tumblr, jrcach Tumblr, or on this blogspot.
It ranged from correcting errors in her Twitter profile, thumbnail to dancing and filming, even to how to bow.
Later I knew that Hari took all of them as insult.
If she reacts to every comment to her like she did, she would never be able to become a geinoujin.
If she refuses to take advice as advice, she won't be able to become a good learner. Let alone live in a country completely alien to where she was brought up.
